HOW MUCH MONEY WAS RAISED FOR THE TWO BENEFICIARIES IN THE RUN THIS YEAR?
We're in the fortunate position of letting you know that we can't tell you the exact amount of money that was raised this year, simply because it keeps coming in by mail and through online pledging!
We can say that as of July 1st the record-breaking amount of $107,308 has been raised for the 2 beneficiaries! Phenomenal!
IS MY INCENTIVE PRIZE GIFT CARD MAILED OUT, OR SHOULD I PICK IT UP?
The incentive prize gift cards will be mailed out at the beginning of September to the address you provided when you registered. We wait until the official cut-off date of August 31st to ensure that all pledges have been received to determine corresponding incentive prize levels.

I'M PRETTY SURE I WON A PRIZE. HOW DO I GET IT?
Like last year, we had prizes for fundraising and top finishers available for pickup at the After-Party site. For those of you who were not able to pickup your prize on June 28th, we will be contacting prize winners individually and arranging the pickup/delivery of your prize.
Custom engraved iPod™ Shuffles, getaway packages from Sheraton Hotels, SIGG™ water bottles from our Community Partner Curbside Cycle, Starbucks® Sirena™ Espresso Machine, and Hudson's Bay Point Blankets are all part of the fabulous fundraising incentive prizes.
Incentive prize gift cards will be mailed out at the beginning of September to the address you provided when you registered.
CAN I STILL SEND IN PLEDGES I HAVE RECEIVED?
You can still make pledges online using the PLEDGE ONLINE → link. Please submit any additional pledge amounts you have recieved to us as soon as possible.
You can mail the money (if there's cash, we suggest you write a cheque for the cash amount payable to the Pride and Remembrance Association) along with your pledge form (just make sure that the form has a name and address for anyone who wants a tax receipt) to:
Pride and Remembrance Association
P.O. Box 19604
Manulife Centre
55 Bloor Street West
Toronto Ontario M4W 3T9
Up until August 31st, any additional pledges received will be added to your fundraising total.
WHEN IS THE CUT-OFF DATE FOR SENDING IN PLEDGES?
To be able to tally fundraising totals in order to determine corresponding incentive prize levels, we have an official cut-off date of August 31st. We use the totals from this cut-off date to create the spreadsheets sent out to the 2 beneficiaries for income tax receipting.
That being said, we accept pledges for the beneficiaries up until December 1st, 2008. Any amounts received after August 31st will not be counted towards the official totals or fundraising incentive prize totals, but will be passed along to the current beneficiaries.
HOW MANY RUNNERS WERE THERE THIS YEAR?
Officially, we had a record-breaking 942 registrants. Our Sportstats results report shows that 742 registrants wore timing chips.
Wearing a timing chip helps us with planning the RUN each year, and provides our Race Director with valuable information for optimizing the start and finish line logistics.
WHERE CAN I FIND PHOTOS FROM THE 2008 RUN?
Like the pledges, the photos are still coming in. So far, photos from the 2008 RUN can be found here →, here →, and here →.
A special collectors photo book will be available in the Fall. Our sincere thanks to the talented and hard-working photographers who captured an incredible assortment of images of the 2008 RUN!
HOW CAN I GET ONE OF THE 2008 RUN SHIRTS?
Unfortunately, all of the RUN SHIRTS from this year have been distributed - there are none left! RUN SHIRT made exclusively for the RUN by Hbc.

Chantal Fry (aka Chantal de Bisous), crowned with 4 Golds from Skate Canada, performed for all of the fabulous runners this year at the Pride And Remembrance Run After-Party held at Jarvis Collegiate. The rainy morning that threatened to put a damper on the stage show finished its temper tantrum just in time for the sun to shine down as Chantal skated (yes! skated!) to Groove Armada's 'Easy'.
Chantal is the creator of the spectacular and glamourous troop Glisse On Ice → who have performed in Marseille, St. Tropez, Corsica, and at the Lido in Paris. Glisse On Ice have a new show called ça Bouge which is inspired by French Cabaret.
Chantal was a featured performer in the Harbourfont Centre → production of the Spiegeltent'n'Tavern Show, directed by Tina Rasmussen, Harbourfront Centre's Director of Performing Arts and New World Stage Artistic Director. Chantal Fry recently performed in the 2008 Luminato Festival →.
